More Technology, Enhanced Safety, and Better Off-Road Prowess
Completely reimagined and meticulously crafted, the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse epitomizes a strategic enhancement of Chevrolet's presence within the midsize SUV arena. Distinguished by a striking design characterized by pronounced truck-like dimensions, the new Traverse enhances its appeal with families with the addition of pivotal safety features. The brand new 2.5L turbocharged powertrain produces increased horsepower and torque further solidifies its credentials. The redesigned Traverse assumes a commanding stance within its fiercely contested segment, poised to assert its leadership through a fusion of compelling attributes. Notably, the introduction of the Z71 variant, tailored for off-road capability, amplifies the Traverse's versatility, augmenting its allure and ensuring an expanded and diversified clientele.
The 2024 Traverse comes in four different versions: LS, LT, Z71, and RS. Each version has a unique design and offers more choices for features. The safety features and technologies have been improved in all the models.
All the models are powered by a brand-new 2.5L turbocharged engine. This engine gives the Traverse more power than before. It is estimated to produce 315 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque, producing more power than previous generations. Chevy estimates an 19% in torque strength. The new engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. You can also get all-wheel drive, which means all the wheels can receive power, making it good for driving on different terrains. The Z71 version has a special twin-clutch all-wheel drive system that's good for off-road driving. If the Traverse is properly set up, it can tow trailers that weigh up to 5,000 pounds.
The Traverse Z71 is designed for adventurous explorers who want to take their family and gear on journeys. It comes with a set of off-road features that are included as standard:
More than 1-inch increased ground clearance coupled with increased track width for added stability, handling and capability
All-terrain tires bring increased capability coupled with 18-inch wheels designed exclusively for Z71
Unique front fascia purposely designed for improved approach angle, with an aluminum skid plate and signature Z71 red tow hooks
Twin-clutch AWD system designed to optimize traction and handling in off-road driving conditions
Unique dampers with hydraulic rebound control to improve off-road-capability
